4.1. PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

All textile products to be sold on the internal Chinese market must comply with the GB standard, 18401-2010 (National technical code for the general safety of textile products).

This standard is for:

● Checking for hazardous substances in textile products,

● Improving the quality of the textile product,

● Ensuring the basic health and safety of the Chinese population,

● Ensuring compliance with the general safety and technical specifications for clothing and decorative textiles sold in China.

It divides textile products into three categories:

● Products for babies = Type A requirements,

● Products in contact with the skin = Type B requirements,

● Products not in contact with the skin = Type C requirements.

Compounds below 1% of the total weight of products not for the use of children may be exempted from tests.
